Is an automatic recording of my livestream created?

Yes, the recording starts automatically a few minutes before your livestream goes live (automatically or manually; for more details, see the section “When does a livestream go live?”). To stop the recording, end the livestream permanently via your profile (see “How do I end a livestream”). To download, see “How can I download videos / Re-Lives?”.
