WHAT DO THE INDIVIDUAL KEY FIGURES AND METRICS IN THE MONITORING SECTION MEAN?
- Resolution: Number of pixels, e.g. 1920×1080 (Full HD). A higher resolution generally results in a sharper image.
- Frame rate (FPS): Number of frames transmitted per second. Higher FPS = smoother motion.
- Buffer: Stores stream data temporarily and compensates for brief connection issues.
- Latency: The delay between the stream being sent and its reception. Lower latency means faster transmission.
- Available bandwidth: The currently measured data rate available for transmitting the stream. This should be higher than the stream bitrate.
- Frames: The number of individual frames received so far. This indicates how many video frames have been processed by the platform.
- Dropped frames: Individual frames that were lost during transmission and could not be processed. A high number of dropped frames can lead to stuttering or quality issues.
- Load time: The time taken to receive the stream and display it in the preview window. Lower values indicate faster processing.
- Playback time (seconds): The duration of the stream segment currently being analysed in the preview window.
